Pharmacy Assistant
We will support you
At Galenica, we support you in continuously developing your skills. We offer various training courses, communication and basic healthcare courses as well as the opportunity to acquire specialist skills such as primary care, vaccinations or capillary blood sampling as part of our heart check, diabetes check and allergy check services, or to expand and consolidate your teaching and social skills in the role of vocational training. We aim to offer you a wide range of opportunities for further training to make sure you are always up to date.
Our role model
We are continuously developing our job profiles and creating opportunities for professional development. Our innovative role model opens up a wide range of opportunities for personal and professional development. With your commitment, you can take on additonal responsibility in the pharmacy, be it supporting the management in the service sector, as an employee in vocational training or responsibility for resource planning. There are many opportunities, which offer scope for your individual development.
These roles not only offer expanded career prospects, but are also additionally compensated.
Service expert: Your role in shaping the pharmacy
Take on the challenge of shaping and developing the range of services offered by the pharmacy. As an expert in healthcare services, you are the driving force behind innovative offerings such as primary care and vaccinations. Your responsibility extends to imparting knowledge within the team, ensuring quality standards and actively promoting services. You coordinate topics in dialogue with the Health Services team and help establish the pharmacy as the leading point of contact for healthcare services. This role not only provides the opportunity to expand the service portfolio, but also to play an active role in the promotion of healthcare services.
Vocational trainer: Your role as a mentor
Shape the future of pharmaceutical and perfumery professionals. As a mentor, you not only ensure that apprentices are trained in accordance with the VET ordinance, but also assume full responsibility for recruitment. You are a key person for the development of the next generation of pharmacy and retail professionals by not only imparting specialist knowledge but also responding sensitively to individual needs. With a clear focus on quality assurance and coordinated collaboration with various stakeholders, including the vocational school, this role offers not only a fulfilling task but also an opportunity to make a lasting contribution to the professional development of young talents.
Resource planning expert: Your role in ensuring efficiency
Your responsibilities include not only strategic personnel resource planning, but also the monitoring of holidays and overtime. With your responsibility for planning further training and ensuring that replacements are available in the event of absences, you play a crucial role in increasing efficiency. Your proactive team communication skills and adherence to deadlines make you a cornerstone of the pharmacy team. This role offers the opportunity to optimise operational efficiency and keep the pharmacy on course for success.
“My passion for the field of pharmacy is recognised at Galenica.”
Birivan is a trained pharmacy assistant with a Swiss Federal VET Diploma and has been working at Galenica for two years as a pharmacy specialist. She particularly appreciates the flexibility and diverse customer contact that the work offers her. “The opportunity to advise customers and offer a range of services makes my job particularly fulfilling.” The multicultural clientele at the location is an added bonus for her, and the helpful and motivated team that supports each other makes her day-to-day work a real pleasure.
“I appreciate the opportunity to live out my passion for advising customers and look forward to coming to work every day.”
Training opportunities are also an important aspect, which is actively promoted by financial support and flexible working hours. X appreciates the opportunity to complete further training two days a week, for example, which enables a good balance between work and training.

No problem – we offer you that opportunity. As deputy manager, you will assume the pharmacy’s day-to-day business management, with responsibility for work schedules, inventories, promotions and reports.
